look at you drivers door sticker, it will have gross combined vehicle weight. that is the total truck and trailer can weigh. then have the truck weighed and do the math.

gcvw-truck weight= total trailer weight legally allowed to be pulled.

ok, if i am not mistaken our trucks are rated at 20,000lbs gcvw. just need someone to chime in with what their 05 dually weighs and we can answer it for you.

my 3/4 weighs 7460, and has a 20k gcvw. so that gives me 12500 legally.

that is probably your gvw, which is gross vehicle weight. just the truck and anything you can put in or on it.

gcvw is gross combined vehicle weight.

Singapore has different laws. There you can pull as much as you want.

I live in Texas and the truck is in Texas, just here for work. Will be home the end of December, just ordering a gooseneck and need to know tow limiits as far as the law goes.

Law before special licenses and permits is 26,000 GCW.

Your truck should be right around a towing capacity of 15,500.

Dodge says that our GCW limit is 23,000.

If your truck weighs about 7,000 then Dodge says you can tow about 16,000.

If you get a trailer which is 15,000 GVW then you will be legal and the truck will tow it fine.
