Hotshot questions, just started, need help.

So I've been contracted out with a company for a month now. Its not going how they've advertised. They do the booking and billing for 20%. I need to find a dispatch service that charges less and possibly a factoring company as well. I'm In Texas, and want to haul more oilfield supplies. Was wondering anyone out there could help point me to a good dispatcher, and any other tips. Thank you!

There's a company in my hometown that is looking for owner operators. They run in Tx also. Catch-22 hot shot in grand junction co. I know the salesman, Matt. He says they are pretty busy. 970-778-2717.
I think there is some more info on googl about them. I'd look it up, but my net here on the rig is wicked slow right now.
Good luck

a good dispatcher
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahahahahahahaha

I looked into toting RV's once, but they only paid 1-way, and if they found you another trailer to pull toward home, they didn't pay enough to cover your fuel. About the only way to do it and make money at it was to run a big truck where you could haul some small ones or haul a couple smaller ones and pull a big one.

The guys who were making money at it ran part time for a trucking company, while the log book for the RV toter company caught up, after hauling butt back home.

With the price of oil where it is at I'd be looking for a different line of work. The hot shot outfits around here have it as a side venture to another business. Welder, vac truck, steamer, rentals, power tongs, etc. you could do it too if you had another job that was flexible and a few buddies that were oilfield consultants.
