Red face Got a 06 3500 4x4 , Just Getting Started Need help.

I have a stock 3500 Ram (06) 4x4 with 16000 miles I think it time to get started.
I have been gettting up to 15miles MPG and im know down to 12 .
Im not really worried about it but i heard that its soposed to get better once you break it in...

Does any one know why theres not many preformance programers for 06 dodge?

Need exaust, air intake, programer
Got any suggestions?

This thing i got goes no wear when i mash the pedel intell it winds up a lil bit then it will take off.

And this standard shifter "shifts like crap" What do ya think thats about?

peace out, 3500 lstar54

welcome to dtr. there are several members in your area that can be of help, augusta and capnram are friends of mine and are knowledgeable and helpful, and augustas truck is just plain fast.

the first mods that should be made are gauges. a pyrometer is a necessity when doing ANY fueling modifications.

the smarty(downloader)for 06's should be shipping in about a week. I had one on my 04.5 and it was crazy. power and smoke just blew me away.

with your shifting concerns I assume you have the g56 6 speed. There arent any aftermarket shifters that I know of for the G56 yet. Someone will correct me if I am wrong. Maybe an srt10 shifter from the dealer.

a quad standard or race module will make you happy, or the smarty, or both. just prepare to say good bye to your clutch.

I would say Smarty and Quad boostfooler.

A pyro for sure, and intake.

I run about 1200-1300 degrees with Smarty on 5, EZ on 3, and boostfooler running at about 45psi with the stock exhaust.

Of course it would be better if it was lower but its not too bad.

Then a clutch, cause it WILL go...

i've got a good video of mine going on the dyno last week. you can just barely hear it getting loose over the boost and exhaust.

For exhaust I would start with cuttin off the muffler. See how you like that then go from there if need be. Intake, you cant go wrong with an afe with pg7 but they are pricey.

Fuel, all depends on what your ultimate goal is. If you want to make big power go ahead and get a tst and skip tryin all the other boxes out there first and wastin you time like I did. I a moderate increase in hp or just fuel milage is what you are after, you could try the quad, ts mp8, edge ez, edge juice, diablo, bully dog, or what ever you want.

Do some searchin and readin on here and I am sure your questions will be answered.

About the trans. Do you mean the throws are long or it is not smooth?

Mine is the smoothest shiftin trans I have ever drivin.
