Gooseneck Hitch Lock
Gooseneck Hitch Lock
Anyone have any suggestions on a gooseneck lock to help keep the honest person from taking my trailer? It is parked in secured locations, well my home and in a secure parking lot a few times a year for its main use, so I am just looking for something to keep the honest person away or from the practical jokes of my friends.
Long term I will probably remove the adjustable hitch or chain the tires.
This seems to be one of the more common ones; Tractor supply had them for $120 in stock.

Blaylock is what I use. I think I got mine for $55.

I cut the shank off of a 2 5/16" ball insert it and then lock the hitch in the closed position with a padlock.. Having a box to lock your safety chains and hookup cord in would be a good deterrent as well. I have also seen people use wheel boot locks on their trailers.
Locking devices only keep the honest people honest..
