gooseneck hitch?
Could someone tell me how universal gooseneck hitches are for fitting trucks? For instance does a gooseneck hitch that fits one dodge fit them all; long bed - short bed, dually - single, year - year?
Looking at a hitch out of a 95 dually, but unsure if it will fit my 2000 shortbed. I do have the resources for a few simple modifications, but wouldn't want to rebuild the thing.

I would think that the '94-'02 3/4t and up trucks would be the same.

If you use a hitch designed for anything but you make, model and year you will have to drill new holes, where as most quality hitches made for you truck fit into existing holes. If you have to do the customizing save yourself alot of effort and just pull the bed off after you mark the hitch location. It will save alot of fight.
