dually tire advice

is anyone hauling with 34-35s or 295/75 tires on thier dually w/ stock rims? or does anyone know where i can find 34-35" tires 11.5" wide or less???
pics and details would be much appreciated! just trying to get the RPMs down @ freeway speeds and still have good power. i thought about changing gears to maybe some 3:73s instead of these 4:10s but what do you think?

If you do go to large tires, make sure that the sidewalls do not touch. Causes wear and heat problems. Don't know what to tell you about the gear change. My truck is getting 17-18 with 4.10. 6 speed does a lot better than the automatic that I used to have. Also, my old 96 did very well on MPG until I had a plate put in it. I guess that if you want to play, get ready to pay.

You can't do much with stock rims on a '96. Your best option is to go with an aftermarket solution. On an '01 or an '02, the offset is different, and you can put 285/80's or 265/75's on the stock rims without the inside sidewalls touching. If you do that, however, you need to go with load range D's at 80 psi under load, so the sidewall doesn't sag.

I got a question about spacers for the Dually's. On mine I changed my tires to 265/r70/17 and all that i could put on mine was 1/4" spacer between the the two rims if i was going bigger on the tire looks to me I would be going to a longer stud for bigger spacers. Correct me if i'm wrong i've read were people have put 2' spacers on there truck. Did yall have to change the wheel studs out ?

Scarecrow How are you running your 35s? do you have a spacer or rims?
and....... if i put 2" spacers on w/ 11" or so wide tires, how far are they going to stick out of the fenderwells?

The spacers have wheel studs pressed into them that the outer wheel bolts to.....the inner wheel and adaptor bolt to the existing studs.

my truck is a 01. i have the bigger offset wheels i am running the swamper ssr size 35x10.5x16. and i am NOT running a spacer.......as the truck sits i have about 1/2 of an inch at the bottom between the tires. i am running 50psi in the tires they call for 65psi............however i am going to put a 1 inch spacer back there just to give me some more room. but i do not need it..... also i have a cap on my truck and it aint light.....do they stick out.....no not right now but they are close...
