Where is the Brake Controller Plug?

I just bought a 28 ft Jayco Jayflight travel trailer. I have not towed with my truck as of yet and I need to install a brake controller before I go to Florida to pick up the trailer. Where can I locate the brake controller plug on my truck?? I hear stories that they are really hard to find on some trucks. (My truck already has the tow package and the tow plug)

I would much rather install this my self than over pay some RV guy.. Thanks a million...

mine was on the drivers side under dash way up by the E-brake. Hard to see, it had tape around it, so i had to cut that so it would have room to hook up.

So all I have to do is plug the brake controller into this plug and I'm all set?

Hi
Do all the rams with the towing package have this trailer brake controller hook up under the dash? I just bought a 1998.5 Ram 3500 and want to put on a trailer brake too. Thanks for any info.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they do, my 3/4 ton 4x4 came with one. It makes it so much easier to hook up, no cuttin wires and all that bull butter. Two thumbs up for Dodge

With the towing package yes, there should be a plug located under the dash blue in color.

The brake controler might have a different end on it though. Your truck should have come with a new wire harness for the brake controler itself. If not you could buy it at a dealership. This is the plug that goes on the end of the brake controler to plug into the port under the dash.

Thanks fellows I found the blue plug. The former owner was nice enough to leave me the harness that comes out to the controller with labeled wires and all. COOL!
