dish network or direct Tv?
We have Dish, we like it, mostly. We have a receiver in each of our 2 fivers. If it is off more than 30 days, we call to get it reactivated with the SO/RO numbers. We mostly wtach 119, which has 80% of what we need. W get spot beam for loclas up to 200 miles away.
It used to be that Direct would make you pay a whole sepeate deal for your RV. I guess that changed. Still, I hear you get more for your money with Dish.
I am tring to set up our Dish 500 out is West Texas, having a bad time trying to line up 110.
Anyone got a playbook to set up Dish 500? It seems to be not for the faint of heart. I can live with 119 on the road, but may change my mind, eventually.
Dish always gives us good service, once we get a tech on the line.

I ended up with Directv.....It works great in the RV and I love it in the house. I had a problem at the start finding the signal but I found out it was a wiring problem. Now I can find one right away.
TV's in Rvs. I found out the wattage rating on the back of the tvs aren't very accurate. One tv I have draws about 100 watts even when its off...Crazy but true. Not sure why or where the power is going but it is important to unplug the whole tv when not in use.
My inverter is not a true Sine wave but it seems to be working just fine.
i purchased two t105s trojan batteries today. I will test them out.....I can tell you they felt a lot heavier than the Marine batteries I took out of there. I had heard that on this website and found it to be true. They felt twice as heavy even though I know that can't be. Something didn't seem right with the weght though...Either the t105s are heavier than stated or the Marine batteries are lighter.......Least thats how it flet.
Once I get solar in I will be set.......to do some relaxing by a river some where......
