hi guys,just searched under my dash,found a 2 prong white clip with a pink wire with a white stripe and a black with green stripe wire,also they seem to corospond with the colors comming off the brake switch.i tried testing them for power when aplying the brakes,i got 0 power.am i doing somthing wrong?also found a white with red stripe wire in the harness near the spare tire and it has power when apllying the brakes,should it have full 12 volts without a controller hooked up?im new to the wiring game,any help would be great.thanx dave

 

i will check my truck in the mornin and see. but i beleive the colors do not match function on my controller. mine had a little paper tag that said what was what on the truck wires.

 

If that little harness only has 2 wires your looking at the wrong one for the brake controller. The one for the controller will have four wires and will be either white or blue.

Ok looked at my truck finally and here is how mine is wired. all four wires on vehicle are in a blue connector. i have a prodigy brake controller.

Blue wire from vehicle goes to blue wire on controller.
Blue wire with white stripe from vehicle goes to red wire on controller.
White wire with red stripe from vehicle goes to black wire on controller.
Green wire with black stripe from vehicle goes to white wire on controller.

Blue connector is up around the emergency brake area. Hope this helped. If not let me know.
