Question Brake controller wiring, part II, basic wiring question

The blueish wire in the tow package wiring harness for the trailer brakes; where do you wire it in? As I undersatnd it, the factory four wire pig tail(the one that plugs into the blue receptical under the drivers side dash) is wired/sliced into the four wire brake controller pig tail. Both pig tails(brake controller and truck) have four wires: one on those is for the trailer brakes, do I just splice the blue trailer brake wire into the other trailer brake wires from the brake controller and truck Thanks in advance for any help with this, wiring has never been a strong point.
