95' Brake controller wiring question.

I know this is a 1/2 ton question but it should be the same on the 3/4's and 1 ton's so I was hoping for a little wring assistance. I just bought a Prodigy Brake controller for my 95' 1/2 ton and when I went to get the wiring adapter it said only for 96'-07', so I looked at a few different sites and they all said the same thing. So I went out and looked under the dash of my dad's 96' and there was the brake controller plug, looked under the dash of my 95' and no plug. My truck does have the factory tow package and 7 wires come out of my 7 way plug and go to a factor harness on the frame. My question is, where do those wires go to? Is there somewhere to tap into under the dash so I don't have to run a wire all the way back to the trailer plug?

Thanks
Chris

Look on the bundle of wires going through the fire wall , there is a Blue wire stuck up in there somewhere, that is your lead going to the back.

You will have to run your own B+ and B- , as well as the brake control (brake light) wire.

The harness was only started in 1996 , so the rest of us have to do it the hard way.

Here is a pic from my 95 , you can see the blue wire, it comes out of the harness on the other side of that metal bracket , it is a PITA to find , it is tucked in there pretty good.

I finally got to look and found that wire, the rest of the wiring should be cake, I just wasn't looking forward to laying under the truck in freezing weather to run the wire to the back, but now I don't have to. Thank You!!
