Air Ride Pin Box

Is it worth it? Bout $800, made by Trailair. I tow heavy, 11,500K 5ver MT, plus another 2K payload. This is the 3rd 5ver I have owned and the nicest and I would like to keep it that way (364Q quad slide Everest). I am tired of always shaking everything around in it.

Take a look at the new MORryde rubber pin box. Just put one on - - love it. I will post more on it when I get home in two months.

Hey Bob, how about a bit more there buddy? I was looking to try one out while in Indiana next month but that is only a short test hop. You got some miles on yours so I am really interested in your impressions.

Our new 5ver (see signature) has Mor-Ryde suspension. We've been amazed - nothing gets shaken around in it. The trailer suspension makes far more difference in the ride inside the trailer than the hitch does. A side benefit is that the typical 5th wheel bucking and jerking that our previous 5vers exhibited is almost totally gone. Even Momma comments on the difference (improvement) inside the truck every time we go out.

I've got an Air Ride Hitch
http://www.advancedairhitch.com/

The new 5th wheel will have air ride on it too.
I have some air bags for the rear of the truck going on soon too.

The 25K hitch is VERY heavy duty.

I have some real problems with air bags - - I have NEVER owned anything with an air bag (except the CFO's present Lincoln) that did not give me problems. Hence, I went with the MORryde pinbox. I am sold on it. No bags to break or leak, no pumping it up - - install and enjoy. I have about 3000 miles on it so far over some horrible roads. What a difference it has made. I am in Newfoundland right now and I must say some of these roads leave a lot to be desired. Between the MORryde IS suspension and the pinbox, it has made a tremendous difference in the ride and handling. I will report more when I get home and don't keep getting kicked off computers. Seven more weeks and lovin' every minute of it. Big cruise into a fiord today - - the scenery is unbelievable. Chasin' Meese the day before (Meese - - that is the plural of many Mooses). Up close and a little too personal. The Dodge is running great.

Thank you all for your replies. I have bagged the idea of the air pin box. Now, from all of your input I seem to be more interested in changing the suspension on the 5ver. I already have air bags on the puller. I went to the MorRyde site but it doesn't list prices. I know we can't put prices per se on the board, but could someone PM or whatever and give me a ball park figure installed? Alignment would seem to be an issue and I think that I would want a certified installer to do same.

TIA

Roger

Racer - - I had IS suspension put on my Carriage while in Elkhart. As Rusty stated, I now can compare the difference on the same trailer before and after. Quite amazing. IS is running about $800 per axle installed. I highly recommend it. I will post more comparisons when I return home in 7 weeks.
