03-04 Dodge Where O Where...

03-04 Dodge Where O Where...

Where did you mount your brake controller. Finishing up on the hitch install and now I need to locate and install my brake controller. As the center part of the dash goes down to the transmission hump that pretty much leaves the knee bolster area just to the right of the steering wheel.

Anybody have theirs mounted differently?

Mine was mounted on the knee bolster on the left side of the steering column. That's where it was when I bought the truck.

Mine is on the r/h side of the steering column. Up high outa the way. Haven't kicked it yet.

Mine is mounted on the right side of the knee bolster.

Mine's to the left also. I was afraid I would be hitting it with my knee alot but it hasn't happened yet in a year.

I used an existing screw down low on the knee bolster right above the accelerator pedal. It has been there almost a year and I have not kicked it with my size thirteens yet. I have a strong aversion to drilling holes if I can avoid it. Wade

left side knee bolster, used to hit it all the time, guess i got used to it and haven't touched it in awhile.

Mine was on the left side too. I hit it all the time so i moved it higher up on the right. Now I don't touch it. Every time I would shift when it was on the left, it was totally in the way. I hated it there but the hitch guy installed it way too low. I'm a much happier camper now

I like them as high as possible, so they are within arm's reach in a panic.
