TNDTR Chapter #34 Discussion thread
Shawn its a good thing you converted to a dually. LOL Me and a buddy of mine may try to make it to that pull thursday night if we can get the new gears in the truck. Don't know for sure though. There is a pull Sat. night in Sparta at 7. There will be a diesel truck class. Look at midtnpullers.com for rules.

I have to be at a pull where 06megacab shows up! That would be wild to see!! Do you have to stop at the end so you don't drag the sled home with ya??
Probably just another day at the office for your truck though!

Same rules as posted here https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...44&postcount=7
Has anyone heard any of the rules or anything for the pull at Maury county tonight? Only thing I have heard is it has to be driven through the gate and have tags and insurance. Anyone else goin to this?

weighed my truck today at the co-op to find out what that Cummins is moving around all the time..........and the weight was...........
9280lbs!!!!
I felt bad but talked to a friend who has a 97' and he has boxes on both sides and monster fuel tank for the farm. His with an empty auxillary fuel tank was around 8500lbs. Now I know why my fuel mileage has'nt been up to snuff here lately!!

Didn't make it to springfield. Pulled in columbia. Made a full pull in the 7200lbs class then they reset the sled. Bumpped the sled and went and added more weight to get to the 8200lbs class. Blew the $300 headgasket from scheid says you won't blow, comin off the line. Only blew on 3 cylinders. We've been lucky though been to a pull almost every weekend or at least every other one and haven't broke anything major yet. LOL
Is the head gasket supposed to be able to hold high boost without o-ringing the head or what? My truck is off the road and I am planning to take some time this winter and finally get the twins together for it. I just don't know what to do about the head. I've got one sitting in the garage that I could take to the machine shop... what should I do?
Yes the head gasket is suppose to be able to hold higher than what the truck was pushin before the cam and what it is pushin now. Around 67lbs now and before the cam it was around 73lbs. New one is suppose to be here today but haven't been up to the shop to see. When it did blow it did get a small piece out of the piston but not enough to mess up anything.
About what to do with the head . . . . If it were me and I had one layin around the shop i would try milling the intake manifold part off and if you are good with a welder or if not, if you got somebody who is good with a welder . . . dodgeguy . . make you an intake manifold. LOL You would be able to port the intake and exhaust that way. Plus it would jus be cool to! LOL Thats jus me and I dont have a spare head in my shop so for now I wont have a custom intake manifold.

It's kinda long, this is what I've been dealing with this week. Makes me think I need to have a file folder or notebook where I can write down all the part numbers for everything that way I can call and give numbers to make sure I can get the stuff without delay..
Guess I'm the only one who's ever had a 2002 dodge with a dana 80?????
