Heavy??? My truck??? The one behind the cab is 1/8" plate, but in the middle it's just 1/8" tube with a roof. The tool box behind the wheel is 3/16", more weight, but would hate to be the guy who rearends this truck

Guess once I'm done I'll have to get her over to the scales again.....

Well, my business has turned into slowness. Had a falling out with the big man on those jobs(dispute over what I'm allowed to charge him per hour, actually what he wants to pay per hour, not what the business requires), apparently my business is not supposed to make a profit on his jobs and my counter-offer has gone unanswered....so, how do you tell a man that made $7 mil last year to kiss your behind?? Same way you tell a guy who only made $30k last year!!

Well heck, this thing has been dormant for weeks. I'll be working on the dyno thing here in the next week or so. I'm thinking end of february for a date so we won't interfere with the Easter holiday. Other than that hope all is well with.......all!

oh yeah.....900 posts!!

Popped a head gasket this morning! You know its not a good sign when you walk out of O'Reillys and you see 2 small streams of anti-freeze coming off the side of the block of your truck. LOL

How'd you manage to do that? Or was it just time? Now I guess it's time to fire ring it, stud it and put on that marine gasket!!

At least it's not a bad job to do, good luck!

Shawn i'm still trying to figure out how I did it. The truck was idling for about 35 min before I left the house. I didn't really get on it any I mean rpms never got over probly 2100 or so and that was about 4 miles down the road from the house. It wasn't like the motor was cold. It may have jus been time for one. Its only got about 190k on it now. I'm puttin studs and a +.020 marine gasket on it for now. No o-rings. Laid off still and it hurts bad enough to put the studs in it but it should be fine without the o-rings. I'm not goin to do anything else except for maybe a turbo on down the road to it. Its kinda funny my pull truck has the same thing plus a set of injectors in it and still hasn't poped yet. LOL Now that I say that it will probly pop the next time it gets started.

This jus keeps gettin better. Finally got my truck in the shop last night and got the head off today. Had a good bit off carbon build up. Cleaned the block and moved on to the head. Got the area around number one valves cleaned and noticed a small place between the valves. I looked at it and then got a friend of mine to look at it. It was cracked. Luckly coope3 had one at his house so we road up and picked it up. Hopefully can get this thing back together and runnin tomorrow. It sucks not havin your truck. LOL Thanks for the head Matt!
