pic sizing

OK, I am a moron with computers!

How do I resize my pics so I can get them up? I have some good ones but they are all 2.6 MB each and won't upload.

Thanks!

Any photo editing program can do it. You can even do it with Windows Paint.

Go to "image" and then "stretch/skew". 50% oughta get them small enough.

800X600 or slightly smaller is generally a good size to use on forums.

Irfanview works great and is easy to use:

Download it here- http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm

I use a free program called VSO Image Resizer. It allows you to resize multipul images at one time. I use 640x480 . Also you can use www.imageshack.us and upload picts there and they will resize the pict that is uploaded, so you don't mess with your original pict. Then you can use the link to post the picts on the site. No need to worry about them ever being deleted unlike Photobucket.
