well i put them in...grand total of just over 2 hours, whoever said this task is easy did not do it alone and has extra joints in their wrists...the back 2 cylinders, under the cowl are a BEAR to get to...i mean it is down right hard, it took my smallest skinniest friends hands, and alot of choice words to get them out and back in (and remove the injector line retaining nut)
as for how it performs...I LOVE IT, it broke the tires loose in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and started to in 5th, then the clutch started slipping bad...clutch is coming up VERY soon, it really doesnt blow alot of smoke like I thought it would.
watching my gauges, it pegs my boost in the 35 range almsot instantly before slipping the clutch, and when the clutch holds, its a very short quick burst to maybe 80-90 mph before my EGT's are reaching the 1350-1400 range and i let off, and when the clutch does hold...the middle gear pull (4th and 5th) is absoluetly insane for a 7,000 lbs truck...you wouldnt belive im running a stock turbo with intake and exhaust

Sweet!! Do you tow with yours? I'm looking at bigger injectors but I don't want to run too hot when I tow. I'm only towing 7k max and not very often, but still don't want to melt down. I also don't want to have to do a clutch in the near future also. Maybe I should just hold off for now.
you could go with a small set of injectors...something in the 60-80hp range and be ok, with the EZ you should be getting maximum power with out the fear hurting much, as for the clutch...thats all in how you drive and the history of it. mine is just about done, sadly I am going to have to put the new clutch on the credit card and pay it off later...but its ok...thats the price we pay to play
Good job! So you can break the tires loose in 2,3,4 and 5?????? What size tires are you running? My truck will spin some in 2 and 3 but that's it and I have 285/75's. I really wonder what the hell this Ottomind is doing?

well it was wet last night, hence the spinning tires, im running 285/75's too

I tried to run it up in 6th gear today, cant do it, max out my EGT's by 90 and have to let off, boost is hitting 34 then dropping back to a steady 30...this thing pulls wickedly on the highway, i just cant get over it!

OH it was wet. Ok, well I can spin all gears to 5th, haven't tried 6th, kinda spooky when the rear starts to come around in a truck this size. I did break them loose in 3rd once on dry road, pretty cool, if even for just a second.
If you lean into it at say 1100 rpm in any gear you should see some smoke, quite a bit before the boost comes up. Mine is insane on the freeway too.

I've been considering a new set of injectors, figure it couldn't hurt my EGT's any worse than they are, hopefully once I get the twins set on it, it'll lower it alot, I took the 40 apart and made the wastegate hole a little bigger it dropped them about 40-50 degrees, so now I'm at 1475 when it's pegged lol. I'm sure timing it will help too,,,so after all that, maybe I can afford to get some bigger injectors.
