i've read a post somewhere where Don M. said that the Superchips programmer does not add timing, only fuel. So therefore you can stack it with the Comp. I've run mine like that for several months now and love it except for the cold weather issue with the Comp.

What cold weather issue do you have with the Comp? I know when it's cold, the throttle is a lot more sensitive, and I will buck a lot at low RPM's. Some of that I know is from the injectors, but I think some of it is also from the comp. Do you have the same thing going on with yours? I'm just seeing if I'm the only one.

Actually I have heard the opposite from a Employee of Superchips. I was told it adjusted Timing and no fueling. I guess we will really never know.

Big smoky: whenever it gets below 45-50 degrees it seems to miss on the upper rpm of the upper gears (5th & 6th). I've read an article over on TDR with something to do with the IAT sensor. I've tried it with the SC stack and the Comp alone. Does it only with the Comp on. I've been runnning the 4's with the SC now until it gets warmer. I'm not sure if the SC adds timing or not but i gained 13 horses with the tuner and comp on kill. This was at the Houston DHRA show. I don't know what kind of dyno it was but I tested 3 settings. Comp 3x2 = 478 hp (can't remember exactly). Comp 5x5 = 490 hp (positive) Comp with SC stack = 503 hp.

I've never had that problem before. Have you ever tried a Smarty in your truck?

No not yet , I've also read where the Comp has problems with the version 8 software. I'm going to send it off and have it upgraded to a drag comp. I also believe the source of my two misses (one= reving in nuetral around 1800, and two= the cold comp issue) is the inconsistent compression between the cylinders. When hunting down the 1st miss the dealer did the leak down test and all cylinders failed except #3. How accurate was the test and tech, who knows but when I rebuild and swap over to an SO with cam & twins and it's still there I'm admitting myself.
