Kinda new with the cummins...just got it not too long ago, but as u can see its just got an intake right now but ive been hearin alot bout the SMARTY.....what i be alright runnin a smarty with the stock engine or should i do some shoppin first?

 

Yeah you should be OK, if you don't stomp the throttle all the time. BTW if you get more interested try using the search feature. Type "Smarty" in the box and you will likely read till you have to go back to the store for more beer.

Is there a preffered level I should upload to the stock engine or does it matter?

 

Odd numbered softwares would be the way to go. The even ones (4,6,8) do not have any timing added to the programs, so it can be stacked with an box that adds timing, like the Edge boxes. I run mine on 7 all the time. Tried 5 for about 15 minutes, and 1 for 2 days. Went back to 7. All the levels from 4 up at the same peak horsepower, its just the higher numbers get there more aggressively.
