Arrow Will 3rd gen intake horn fit on a second gen?

I am in a hurry and need to know if you can swap them, before this guy sells it to someone else.

Thanks for the help.

Why do you want it? The 3rd gen intake horn is very restrictive.....It should bolt on but I'm not sure if the end of it is aligned properly to accept the orientation of the 1st gen intake pipe.

I want it because I dont have an intercooler, and I'm installing a 2nd gen IC. The charge pipe I will be piecing together from both 2nd and 3rd gens. I want it to look like it was there stock in the end.

As far as restrictive, nothing a little porting cant fix.

Well, if you look at the bottom of the 3rd gen horn, you will see the way the mounting bolts go through it.....the way the casting accomadates the bolt is silly....it necks down the opening far too much.....porting will not change this. This is why it is common to see the 3rd gen air horn swapped out to an aftermarket unit.....there have been claims of higher boost pre-horn than post horn - especially when the boost is turned up - it is that restrictive......if you can get your hands on a 2nd gen horn you would be better off.

I agree with CTDNUT, I would shoot for a 2nd gen horn. It should be a lot easier to work with, the 3rd gen motors changed quite a bit even since the 2nd gen motors.

Maybe I should just shell out the $300 for the Bank$ High Ram? I found one on ebay for like $150.

So the 2nd Gen horns are less restrictive than the more powerful 3rd Gens?
