why??
why??
the question i have is why are the 12v engines used for race apps and pulling. why is the mechanical prefered over the electronic versions. is it easier to get these engines to achive more hp and tq? i had a 2005 and i sold it. now i would like to get something else, but older and easier to work on. i would like around the 500 hp mark.
You can also fuel 24v's with a rasp or mitusa pump thats mechanical and driven from the balancer on the bottom of the motor.
The only thing thats really in the way on the 12v's is airflow and you can address that with porting and a good cam.
The old setups are much easier to work on. no stupid EPA mandated failure points or cryptic electronic gizmos to break.
