I got my BHAF in, man is it HUGE!


Im not that great working with metal so is there a place that sells them? I suppose that I could make it out of aluminum and cut it with a drimel but that would take forever. What are the rest of you cutting yours with? plasma cutter? Is there a place that sells them?

 

I already have the template. How are yall cutting the aluminum? Anyone tried it with a drimmel?

 

A Dremel would work, but I used a jigsaw. It didn't really take that long, maybe 30 minutes to cut, dress the edges, and bend it. And mine is steel. Aluminum will cut much quicker and easier.

 

u can use a regular grinder...just put the aluminum on a board or somehting...and then just shape out the imperfections with a bench grinder ...

 

put WD40 on your saw blades when cutting aluminum, It will keep the blade from loading up. just a little trick.

 

I'm debating on getting a different set up than the BHAF, PM me and we can discuss my heatsheild.

Where can I find the template for the heatshield and for template to cut the hole in the fender for more air?

Thanks Lary didnt think about that. What about the hole in the cowl/fender?

 

it already has a vent that pipes cooler air to the side.
just remove the stock box and install the shield.
