What shocks with Thuren 2” front springs
What shocks with Thuren 2” front springs
Hello all
I am planning on leveling springs on the 1996 2500 standard cab and looking so far at Thuren 2” soft ride. Truck has prozap bumper, possible winch later. If 3” springs would work better with the bumper weight, I am open to that. My main objective is a better ride, not looking for much lift. Truck sees occasional off-road slow work, installing air bags on rear for occasional heavy loads. Fox 2.0 seem recommended, also considering Bilstein 5100. Are the Fox worth it? Other suggestions?

Fox's are race designed for heat dissipation and cooling due to rapid fire compression thru the rigors of off road racing and spendy... Bilsteins have been considered top shelf for years. I have run KYB heavy duty on my truck for years. Not sure if they are a bit longer to accomodate a 2" levelling kit though...I'd go with a 1" longer throw to be safe....
As for ride quality, 3/4 ton trucks are stiff. Mine weighs in around 8000 lbs with all my tools and gear so I just accept the jolts
