New Front springs
Well I finally did it. I put new front springs on my truck. I went with Custom Suspensions out of Canada. I bought the progressive 3 leaf springs.
My truck is all stock (no lift) 1993 W250 ext cab 270,000 miles. I had the previous springs re-arched twice and finally decided it was time. I also put on new Bilstein shocks which I got from Geno's Garage. I probably should have done the springs first then the shocks but since I did not have the time to do it and paid someone I had them do it all. So here is my 2 cents.
1. The ride is definitely better.
2. I would not say it bounces like some others have said. The term I will use is "floats"
3. It fell like my mothers old Mercury Marquis which "Floated down the road"
4. All of the Harsh Kidney jarring filling rattling bumps are gone.
We just did a 500 mile road trip with a 10 1/2 Cabover camper (which I have had for 20 years along with the truck) and it was really nice.
I did drive it without the camper empty and with a load and all of my observations are the same.
Total cost was about $1000.00 for the parts and $250.00 labor. Some of the best money I have spent.

I bought those same springs for my 92 in my sig the only difference is that I put the pro comp 3000 hydraulic shocks on, I thought the floating was the shocks but if you are floating with the bilstiens then it's not the shocks although agree the ride is vastly improved
