What Modification would you never do again?
tough question. i luv everything iv done to my truck so far. except the con-o southbend clutch. would never put one in again! doesnt handle my current setup and a 3rd gear launch
lol no honestly the clutch is holding better than i expected it to, but if ur a wild driver like me dont cheap out on something like a clutch. shoulda gone with a 3600 dual disc right away
. i know i know i said only a little minor tweaking......

Not knowing these engines at all I was really impressed with this 12 valve truck. It pulls so much better than any other truck Ive owned... and it has 300,000 miles on it. LOL But after reading this maybe I should of held out for the more reliable computer driven truck with twice the valves? Oh well, there is always next time I guess.
I prefer a truck that can take a wee bit of corrosion on my terminals and still get me home.
All right a smack down thread. This one was played out anyway and being I started it Id be more than happy to hear the difference between the 12 and 24's. Which is really the best in good fun?
The new 6.7 Common rail after the deletes are done. Seriously, you have to look at what your goals are. Some guys want fast, lots of power, and simple tuning, that's where the common rail shines. Some old curmudgeons like me are plenty happy with stock or near stock power, and want to be able to "fix" it with whatever is laying around. It's a lot like the old Holley 4 Bbl./327 guys versus the LS1 guys, obviously the LS1 is gonna flat OWN any 327, unless that EMP event happens.
Like finding a guy who understands what dwell is, much less having the ability to set it, our anachronisms will continue to have fewer and fewer supporters, as it should.

Personally I don't have the need to relocate my home on the back of my truck. A little more snap than stock while keeping the dependability is what I'm after. Everyday I fill up at $4.25 per gallon I think fuel economy is what I would like to improve on the most. Thinking for myself and having the 12 valve, a WMO home filtering system might be in the works soon. I still have to do a lot of reading to do on subject to see if it really is cost effective.
LOL, cost effective becomes secondary after you are snake bit by these things.
Then there are those freaks of nature who make all of us look like chumps with their ingenuity....

I'm really impressed with how few mods were regretted. The few that were didn't seem too extreme or expensive which is encouraging to say the least. Thanks for the honest responses and helping out here. If something comes to mind that you have forgotten about please add it to the thread.
Any pre-oiled aftermarket cold air intake filter system. One drive down a dusty road, you have one plugged up air filter.
There are lots of easy power available in your 94 truck and they run hard once set-up correctly. A 160HP injection pump work good with the right mods.

Cheaping out on the first transmission. Don't do that. Then you have to put in a better more expensive one later to handle the power that you crave. It starts out with "oh just a little more power would be cool" and then "Holy crap! That's awesome! What next?" and it just keeps going. (My story, anyway) Then you're trying to explain to your wife why you need to spend big bucks on a full billet tranny! Costs more in the end to put in a 2nd tranny and keep the wife happy! Ha!
S&B intake horn. Never again. Had to re-tap all of the ports on the back side just to get the plugs to thread in.
My truck is a 24V and I haven't been too happy with the DDP 75hp sticks. Kind of hit and miss with stutter problems (2nd set of those too). Can't say as for the 12V injectors.
