New hamster in the 1st gen.

Drove it home yesterday evening. Seems to run well and dropped a few degrees on the pyrometer. When you guys finally wear out the last 5.9 it will hopefully be comforting to know that the 6.7 fits in nicely.

No emissions, same wiring as a p-pumped engine. First gen front hardware fits. motor mounts fit. Different eng adapt plate, and needs mods to pan/timing cover, swap straight cut gears.

I'm not sure if I feel envy or hate for you, but either way I'm sure it stems from jealousy. Can't wait to hear the dyno numbers.

Is it alot quieter than the stock 5.9 (underhood)? The new trucks are so quiet, not sure if its mostly due to motor or other things.

I think with the mechanical injection its gonna be louder.

Very nice Ron. Hope it fills your needs to go get groceries and going to the golf course.

I have alot of respect for somebody that can engineer something like that and make it a reliable daily driver. Well done!
