Got a 3rd re-torque with no movement on the head studs so I adjusted the valves and hooked up the fuel pressure gauge so I could start leaning on it a little. There's a very noticeable difference between this turbo/pump/injector combo on the 5.9 versus the 6.7. I'm anxious to hear how Mark Nixons VE pumped 6.7 turns out. Power on the bottom end is improved for sure.

That has been shelved until I can get a situation better suited to building an engine, though anyone with pretty basic mechanical skills could muddle it out and it's really pretty basic machine shop work to do it.

Assembling a bare block outside isn't a good idea, much less drilling extra holes to make the swap work.

Mark.

Ron, if it's not too far from you (or too last minute), come down to Bud's Diesel Shop in Mission Viejo, CA and put it on Jefferson State's dyno tomorrow! I'll be there first thing in the morning for a few hours.

I wish i had known about it. I'd have asked one of the guys at Jefferson State to drive it down and dyno it. It needs some run time.

I think the drive down here would complete the break-in. Do it!

Other than my dyno numbers that I'm embarrassed about, it went good. Had the opportunity to finally meet Jason Sands and the not-so rust bucket.

A friend of mine laid 813hp with a 6.4 Powerstroke. Bone stock aside from intake, exhaust, batmowheel, 300+hp H&S tune and a 110 shot of nitrous. Made 611 on fuel alone.
