from everything ive heard, they are so loud because they are about to blow up

I do have to agree that the LLY D-Max and 6-uh-oh do sound good with an open exhaust. Jet engine if you will.......But drill a 4" hole in your fire wall right by your air box....(2nd gen that is) and you will get all the turbo you can handle! Some of the PS66's i have heard didn't sound too shabby either.......

not all fords whistle loud the 03's are the only ones that whistle extremley loud, the 03's had 6 vanes and the new fords have 9 vanes.

My brother's '06 is louder at idle than mine is at 30 psi! Really though, they're pretty loud.

cant say i agree. a couple people i know with 05 and 06 6.0s scream. they sound really whistley, but from what ive heard is that the head gaskets go out every 30000 miles and you have to take the cab off to change it.

Yeah I had a freind with a duramax and had to take off th epassenger door to change the oil, and his is yet to see his turbo. He swears it in there somewhere.
