water/meth kit going on...

my snow pef kit stage 2 is going to be in on monday. i stopped by wally world and they only had -20* washer fluid. So i got 2 gallons of it. It dosnt say what % meth it has in it. So what % am i going to mix this with water? and i figure since it isnt even 30% or 40% meth, i wont really mix much water in. And does it need to be distilled? any other tips? TIA

Dont mix any water with it since it is only about 30% methanol, the rest is water.

depends on what your set up is? which jets? etc.

I run one 625 and one 375 comes on at 25 psi and goes all on at 55 or so....

I also run the windsheilb washer fluid straight.....I ve run straight meth its just easier to buy it while shopping instead of making a trip to the fuel guy.

well its joefarmers old kit, and i think it has 2 625 jets that are supposed to come on at 15 psi. which is to early for me. How do i make it come on at like 25 or 30?

The control box has two small dial adjustments, just use a small flat head and turn up the on set point. The other is the ramp up...or all on pressure setting. You can also alter the amount directly on the pump, and change the pressure. I ran two 625's and it was too much, if you want another jet let me know I ve got a bunch.

If I were you...I'd make sure where the "ramp up" setting is at. I think Brandon was running it on max if I remember right! He was really spraying that stuff in there, and you could barely tell

Good luck with the water/meth...I'm really thinking of adding it to the 95 so I can play a little more when I'm dragging the trailer around

There's a screw on the Hobbs switch, it's labled for less or more pressure. I was hoping that your kit would be there before the weekend... it's a lot of fun!

The way I adjusted the two Snow kits I installed was hook compressed air up to the sensor line with a regulator with pressure gauge. Turned the two adjustments so they came on at 25 and 35 psi. Didn't need the pump to spray fluid, just the pump's sound is enough to tell you where you're at.
Sure beats driving around then fooling with the adjustment.

I am running 2 of the 625 nozzles in my truck and I have it come on at 15psi and full on at about 25psi, I also have the pressure on the pump at max. My truck is setup for drag racing though, but I have used the water/meth at 2 pulls and I just flipped the switch on once the truck shifted into 2nd and I had some momentum.

I also run 50/50 that I mix myself. It was worth 52hp on the dyno and about 150* cooler EGT's.

Ditto, here, concerning initial adjustment. Fine tuning had to come from actual use.
