Warn Dual Beam off-road lights
Saw these on Trucks the other day and liked the looks and features of them. The model number is SDB-210 (there is an SDB-160 also). There is a switch mounted in the cab that lets you turn them from driving to spot lights. The down side is the price, I priced them at one place on line and they wanted about $460 for the 210's and $350 for the 160's. Has anyone run these things? If so, what are your thoughts?

Don't really care about the name on 'em. What intrigued me was the ability to switch from driving to spot. I would like to only mount 2 lights on my bumper and wasn't sure if I wanted driving or spot. These solve that problem. I was wondering if these were "jack of all trades, master of none" though.
justin: friend of mine got one of those Thor lights for Chrismas. It is sweet. Didn't have a full charge and shined it on someone's neck from about 30' away and the individual who was illuminated was able to feel the heat from the light

Rob, I havent owned them but they look like really good lights. I dont believe that they are "just another light". Like most things in life, you get what you pay for....and in a lot of cases more money generally means a better product.
Sure you can make some offroad ligths with some aircraft lights and tractor light housings and they'll work pretty good but they just arent the same as an "engineered" product like this.
Have you looked at the Lightforce lights??? Very good quality and offer adjustable beams similar to a maglight:

I bought a pair of PIAA 520's about a year ago and even though they were about $240 (got em from 4wheelparts) they're great, the ones I have are Fog/Driving combo and do a great job in all kinds of weather. And they're OUTSTANDING for those idiots who drive down city streets and REFUSE to turn off their highbeams! I turn mine one while the idiot is about a block away and within a half block you see him stop and turn his lights off till after I pass (I turn them off as soon as he turns his off).

I dont really think you can go wrong with any of the high end lights:
PIAA, Lightforce, Hella, Warn - theres LOTS of choices out there....
Hopefully someone that actually has a set will post.
