vp44 change to 7100

I'm sure I saw somewhere, a conversion from the 24V inj.pump to the 12V injection pump. Can anyone help me out?
The reason I'm interested, is to get rid of the VP44, and the APPS problems.

A friend of mine, his father-in-law put a non electronic injection pump on an 01 24 valve. Would that have been the 7100? It ran fine.

Schied Diesel and Piers Diesel Research make kits to convert the VP44 to a P7100. At minimum you'll need a boat load of cash (> $5k). There's a lot more information if you search this forum for VP44 swap or P-pump 24valve.

brandon.

Search "p7100 conversion" in this forum. Look at the thread by trath(something like ) He did a conversion without spending a bundle. Last I read it was doing fine. Make sure you start off with a pump that has just been put on a test stand. Trying to figure things out with a bad pump can cost you double, and give you chest pains.

I would contact J.R Adkins. 3172813130. I have seen him do a few sets and man to they run good. He would know all the parts you would need and he might even have some of them at his shop.

I think the member who did the low-buck conversion was Travjrath.
