Boost Sensor line hook up for P-7100 question.....
Howdy all! Just wondering if any have had this issue. i have a buddy that i am tring to help out. he has a 1996 3500 12V Dodge. I was doing a T-plate and 3K springs and noted that the boost sensor line bung going into the AFC Housing was VERY loose. I would almost assume that boost had to be leaking the way the truck drove afterwards......no smoke at all! It seemed to be some sort of a press fit. WELP....i have never been into this part of the pump. It seems to be some sort of a diaphram with 4 bolts holding the cover on with the boost bung sticking out of the housing. Is there a cheap fix for this or we looking to find a new houseing for the AFC Diaphram cover? I was thinking about pulling it and removing the piece and tring to tap a new NPT fitting into it. Think this would work? Let me know what yall think! Thanks!

that part of the afc is where you would change the afc spring if you where putting a afc spring kit in a 12 valve,if it is threaded in i would think you could use tape or paste to seal it up,if it is pressed in maybe some jb weld or something similar...

it IS threaded, and it IS a pipe thread. If it's loose and another 1/2 turn or a little more won't snug her up, try a little teflon tape. As a last result, the housing can be drilled (once apart) and tapped the next size up. Then a reducing bushin can be used to make up the size difference. This pressure tap is open on the underside to a diaphram chamber.
