upgrade from 175 to 215 pump

Will I run into EGT problems when I upgrade from the 175 to the 215 pump? The 215 will have a #10 plate and 3K springs..The turbo will be the stock HX35.

you wont hae any problems, but you may want to block off the waste gate to get the boost in the mid 30s range. f it is higher than thet get a boost elbow.

Is there somthing wrong with your pump? Worn out? or bad lift pump?
With my 175 and just a 10 plate and GSK (180 injectors) I could easily hit 30psi with the stock turbo. One time I blocked the wastegate in and I got 36psi.

What happened,is I did a hard pull up a hill.Ever since then my truck has been shuting down at highway speed. The guys on the forum tryed everything. It looks like some enternal damages in the pump(maybe a governor arm). The price for fixing my 175 was close to buying a rebuilt 215 ..

ok here's another question- I just had a 265 hp pump installed, & my waste gate still works normally-is this robbing a bit of power? should IU have it closed / nearly closed? I'm kinda new to the CTD world- been gas most all my life, till fuel prices soared :-) what results come from having the wastegate open, closed, or partially one or the other? Thanks

Swapped in a 215 not to long ago. daily driving is around 600 degrees at 65 MPH at 5 PSI with a hybrid. Sucker runs nice and cool unless towing. Managable but I need to keep an eye on the pyro due to my 100 plate. The truck also smokes less now!
