Go to the Piers Diesel website. Under technical there is a whole plunger lift spec sheet. It should have what you are lookin for.

Does your new pump have a 175 cam in it, or are you back to a 175 pump now?

Off topic

I see you are using 215 injectors. If you don't mind, can you tell me what the incremental change was when you installed them? Also, what do you think the effect would be if I had them in my 1998 CTD with 180 pump? Thank you.

Have you tried calling Rob or Colombus Diesel and find out? I thought they put new cams in them?

I notice going from stock to the 215,you didn't have to use as much pedal to get going. For me the 215 injectors where good. They are more of a general over all performance upgrade. As for your '98,you should see the same difference. As I remember,is the truck that had the 215 pump also had the 215 injectors...

Just got off the phone with Mark at CD.He said the pump is a stock build with larger barrels and a 3k kit.Interesting what he said about timing.I'm being told 15.5 degrees Max.He said no....Set the timing at 18 degrees.Yet forum members say 18 is to high...What do you guys think????should I try 18 degrees??

I've heard 16 is the safe limit for the head gasket, above that and its a much greater risk of blowing it out. But buy some studs, then we'll bump it up a bunch.

I was running the 215s in my truck which was setup very similar to yours at the time. Noticed a nice little bump in HP over the stock 180s. Dyno'd at 315 HP as well. Overall it was a nice step up that was not very smokey at all. Very little smoke down low that cleared up once the turbo spooled.

Sorry for the slight hijack Diesel Dave2.

Is 908 the last 3 digits on your new pump? Is that what they were on your old pump? I was just thinking that the older 180 and 215 pumps were 885 and 887. Being that the 175 pump is older than those, would be a lower number. You could also give GCL a call, give them your pump number, and they could give you the timing charts for it.

The 908 number was what stood out on the plate. It was a number that was by itself. On the plate also was another long number below the 908 number. Is this long number is what I need???
