turbo enhancement products--yay or ney

I was looking at the turbo enhancements found at US Diesel Parts .com and wondering if anybody has tried any of the turbo performance parts. It costs under a 100 bucks, if it works it should be worth the money.

What do you think about them. http://www.usdieselparts.com/category.cfm?Category=915www.usdieselparts.com/category.cfm?Category=915

The Turbo Master simply gives adjustability to the wastegate actuator - you will be able to adjust at what boost pressure the wastegate opens.....it is a simple and effective way to have an adjustable wastegate. It is very beneficial when running a fueling box and/or injectors.

I use them on all of the trucks that I work on, they work great. I have one that fits the 99-2002 with the 12cm housing that I might part with.

I'm intrested in those also. So basically all I'm getting is an adj wastegate? See my Mods and tell me if that would be worth adding too. I am adding a drag comp and TC soon. Would the ADJ wastegate be benificial?

Well after reading the site they do not have one for my year truck with an AUTO tranny.

I would have to say yes, depending on the turbo, with the amount of fueling you are about to add, you can adjust the TM to bleed off wherever you want, from 20 PSI to ?????

I really like the Turbo Master, not to mention that Bill Heath (the man who makes it) is a terrific guy to deal with. You can see an article here on the installation of one on my truck Here

That article I posted the link to was on a stock truck. It DID help my performance by changing the level of boost available compared to the stock wastegate control.

Once I upgraded the turbo and fueling, I just adjusted the Turbo Master to better suit that configuration. For me it was a very nice addition to my truck.

Call Bill Heath at this number 1.877.894.6266 tell him I sent you, and let him explain how it really works. Bill is a great guy and REALLY knows his stuff

Unless you have changed your turbo they do make one for your truck. It takes a TM24. The TM24A is only for the 01-02 auto trucks. your truck has the same turbo as the stick equipped trucks.

Ok I see...thanks. I'm just trying to decide if it IS really going to be worth spending the 90bucks on one. My boost pressure @ WOT is 28. What do you guys think???

I would say it is a judgment call. Yes it is a great product with infinite adjust ability that works verry well. However when you buy the Drag Comp it will come with a boost elbow that will increase the boost without the adjust ability. I have one on my truck and have absolutely no regrets about buying it. If you ever plan on upgrading the turbine housing in the future, too say a 14cm you will need a TM12 instead of the TM24. Just something to think about down the road. I know I hate spending money on something, just to find out I can't use it a few months down the road.
