TST 1000ft/lb Clutch
TST 1000ft/lb Clutch
I installed a clutch from TST 1000ft/lb. I had read on here about high performance clutches being grabby so I ask this question when talking to them. They said it might "jump" alittle backing with a trailer. It's tearing my truck apart! Loaded I can't take off with out it jerking and jumping (I think the front tires came off the ground!). The people at TST Mark and everyone there has been a pleasure to deal with I'm sure when I have a chance to talk to them they will make everything right. I called after breaking my stock clutch and ask about a PM 3 Mark said to send my PM2 and they would reflash it free. I sent it on Mon. they received it on Wed. I had it back Fri. I didn't expect it to be returned so quickly. I just wanted to let everyone know if you want a pulling or race clutch this is for you. If you need a clutch for hauling this is not for you!
From what I've seen (and felt) there is no slip. When I let out it starts grabbing (no slip) and shakes the heck out of my truck. I was wondering about the SBC is the engagement smooth? How is the pedal feel? Is there any shutter when taking off with a load?

Try cheating and using Low Range while backing with a performance clutch thats what i used to do to slow things down and beable to fully release teh clutch
My SBC is super smooth. The pedal is softer than stock and it engages way lower
. It is a little tricky to relearn yourself how to back a trailer, but once you get it down its really not a problem. Using 4low is a good trick for a grabby clutch
