Trans help

Today my wife was driving the truck and she said she was going 75 down the interstate and the truck slipped out of gear and the RPMs went up but the truck would not go, then when she pulled off and the truck down shifted after that it would not upshift so she had to drive 35 all the way home. when I drove it tonight it shifted in all the gears but in over driveat high speeds when I would give it some gas it seemed to slip I think and the boost would build real slow, the boost would always come on instantly befor. What do you all think? the trans is going? there is 120,000 miles on it.

Me again, what are some of the prices for a rebuit trans? I cot quoted 650 for the labor if I pull it and provide all the parts. I will probably spend 2500 total for all the part/labor.
Valve body-$450
shift lever-$75
TC-$1200
rebuilt kit-$160
Labor-$650
$2535 plus shipping and tax $2700-3000

Thats not to bad., my truck is in dave G's shop as we speak, and we are looking at around $3200-$3500. tripple disc, and new output shaft, and all the other goodies MMMmmmmm billit!!!

Dont do anything till you get it checked out you may have a case of your tranny starting out in 2nd because the trans processor is seeing a problem in the logic, this is a limpmode, possibly caused by a faulty sensor or actuator,problems like this could be fixed relatively cheaply. Likely problem is a pressure transducer.
