tranny people need a little guidence.

Ok i've got a little spending money and i wanna get some 275s or some DD1's, but i have a auto tranny that is stock besides a shift kit. What I'm wanting to know is what will i need to get for my tranny that will hold and EZ and some 275s or DD1's?

Could i get a single disk torque and a valve body? http://www.suncoastconverters.com/dodge/converters.htm
I dont have 3000 dollars to drop on tranny.

also i heard of someone on here that mentioned a TC from some guy that was good and hada good price. Im not sure where they are from though.

With what your planning to run you should be ok with a TC upgrade and valve body. I was told that this is good for 350rwhp. I've run 400plus rwhp with these goodies but honestly it only just buys you time. If you're bucks down and baby your truck just do the tranny mods. If your like me and your foot's on the floor half the time, then buy a tricked out tranny. I smoked my stock converter within 10k, on my first outing towing my new trailer. If your tranny is in good shape, then do the mods. Drop the tranny pan and look for clutch debris and metal flakes. If you find lots of debris (there always some) and lots of metal, its time for a new tranny. I just took out my od clutch on a hard 3-4 shift the other day. So now I'm babing it until my wallet get abit fatter. The stock tranny is pretty tuff piece as I gotten 100k out of it (30k towing a 10000lbs trailer). The stock converter isn't so tuff.
