Towing EGT's with 300 injectors...
I've been searching the archives, and it seems like a popular basic towing setup for the 2nd gen 12V's is a #10 plate with the 3kgsk. Would adding 300 injectors boost egt's too much for the setup to still be good for towing? What if a 16 sq. cm. housing were added? Anyone have this combo? Thanks.

Depending on the pump, not at all. The 300 injectors were the 1st BOMB. I added a #11 on a 215hp pump, slid, with the stock HX35 & all was well. You just need to watch the guage, but EGT was very manageable. The #10 would be a problem in the 215hp pump.

Forrest is right. The 300HP Bosch injectors are a mild upgrade. They were the first upgrade I did and I wish I had them back. I liked um. I run the #10 plate now and don't see they would be a problem. I went from 370's back to stock.

You should probably start thinking about a clutch . Runnin all those extra ponies while towing with a stock clutch spells disaster .
About EGTs: I pulled a 32ft tandem dual (9k) loaded with 200 squares (avg. ~60lbs) yesterday in 90* heat and I was able to cruise 75 no problem . All the while, I was able to keep my EGTs well below 1200* . Of course my B1 may have a little something to do with that . If law allowed I could have motored on quicker, but grossing 30k combined with high speeds isnt exactly wise.

I was looking into getting 370's as one of my next upgrades. Of course, in order to get the EGTs under control, I'll be looking to improve my turbo's efficiency. I was initially debating a 14cm2 exhaust housing, but then reality set in: I'm just going to trade that up for an HX-40/16 or something bigger! So once that's done, I'll be looking into 370s, and when towing, I'll keep my eye on the pyro.
I don't think the temps will be astronomical, if I can keep the boost down to a reasonable level.
