tire sizes with 3 inch lift

Would 285/50r20's fit on a 97 4x4 ext cab with a 3 inch lift

A 285/50/r20 is only 31.22 inches in diameter I believe. My truck came stock with 265/75/16 which is 31.64 inches. Now I have 33's on stock suspension, so you shouldn't have any issues with height. I don't think you should have any width issues either depending on backspacing. Im no expert but I think those tires would look small with a 3 inch lift and 20's.

Or I could be completly out to lunch and not no what im talking about lol.

this was the size I really wanted...is there a metric size equal to 35's?

315/75/16 are close to 35s, 315/70/17 are about 34.2 or so, 325/70/17 should be real close to 35s. Im not sure about 20 in. wheels. go to randysringandpinion.com and use their calculator to find out how big metric tires are.

i have 285s on my truck and its stock height/ rims just slight rub when fully turning no problem though
