Ticking sound with Edge EZ??

I installed an Edge EZ today (sorry, Quad, I called your guys again on Mon, and was told that you are still 6-8 weeks out - waiting 6 mo. was long enough for me), and took it for a run I've only a DTT VB mod to my 47RE, so I took it pretty easy - the truck shows a nice boost to the SOP, but I didn't give it the throttle-stomp; When I am getting on it "fairly" strong, I get some pretty strong "ticking" sounds from the engine - is this normal, or a sign that my injectors are getting old, or....?? Anybody else have this issue?

I installed the EZ when I still had the stock injectors (ended up going with a GB TC & VB after that) and now I run it with the DD2's,,,,,,, never had a ticking sound.

My EZ box doesn't make any change in engine noise.

Probably what you're hearing is the timing advance that the EZ gives. Depending on many miles you have, it wouldn't hurt to run through the valves..

108k miles; I thought the 24V engines didn't need valve adjustments?

They certainly do need periodic valve adjustments. Every 100k is the rule of thumb on that. Some may need tham earlier like mine did at 82k. If yours haven't been done then they are due for it. The sound they make is distict, that ticking noise. I bet the sound is more pronounced due the timing advance of your box.
