All good now. Air in the lines, how, I don't know. Bled the lines and she slowly fired up. Still has an APPS stumble so I'm guessing that's a major surge issue I'm still seeing?

 

I'm gonna try to clean up all the connections with some air and dielectric grease then try swaping out the AIT and the MAP sensor to see if that clears it up. I bought a APPS as a last resort to clear this stumble up, it was only $608.00!!!

 

Replaced the APPS and throttle cable(It Broke) and now my throttle is too good. Boy is this throttle touchy!!! Any ideas on how to stiffen it up???

 

I have no idea what's going on here with this truck of mine!!! I getting this bad shudder when I'm on the throttle with the Edge Comp Drag on. Turn the Drag off and it doesn't seem to be there. Remove the wire tap, turn the Drag on and there it is again. Hard runs and the fuel pressure drops from 13-0-2-0, etc... Changed out to the Adrenaline and the same results as the Edge Comp. I changed the APPS, MAP and AIT sensor and no luck, still there. I have to test the fuel pressure with another guage to see if I'm actually dropping to 0psi. This is just about driving me to selling this truck. I'm guessing it has to either be my new SO VP44 or the ECM if it's not a fuel problem??? WTH is going on!!!!

 

have to put a mechanical guage on it, no doubt, didn't know you don't have one. No isolator no nothing. straight fuel to guage. I'll lend you one of my guages and hose for testing you just need to get a fitting.

 

Sounds like your Fass is cavitating or the return check valve is sticking open & not allowing it to build pressure. I would get that gauge on there right away. I've seen things happen like this & turned out to be the fuel pump relay was triggeriing on/off, other times it has been bad grounds on pump, chassis grounds etc. Is your fass running constantly without cutting out? Is your Fass ground & power hooked directly to the battery & triggered by a relay? Are you using a draw straw to pull fuel from the tank? When I installed my draw straw, my factory tube was rotted going into the tank & had a pin hole in it. This also can cause your symptoms, can be sucking air & this is why you are seeing pressure then 0, then pressure. etc. Just trying to help.

 

I think it's a fuel thing too Jamie. I do have the upgraded draw straw from FASS. I put in a new FASS relay and the FASS is direct to the battery. You said something about the return spring?? I really have to get another manual gauge on there to double check this!! Thanks J...

 

I've got a new from Cummins, return check for the VP if you want that too, I'll probably never use it.
