Swamper SSR's, noisy?

How do the Super Swamper SSR radials compare to the BFG Muds as far as road noise???? I'm looking at the 285/75/16, how about low speed vibrations?

Ive had both on my Jeep. I would have to say the swampers have a little more of a hummm than the BFG's but not near as much as I thought they would looking at the tread. Also the SSR's handle just as well as the BFG's. I love my SSR's for on road and off-road performance, tire wear is barely noticable after 1.5 years as a daily driver before I bought the Ram.

Make sure you keep an eye on your front alignment....SSR's don't last very long if the toe is out. Just rotate them at the first sign of any cupping or uneven wear.

They're actually pretty quiet unless they're worn unevenly. With a 285, I doubt you will have any vibration problems. I had mine balanced with Equal, the sand stuff, last time around and they didn't vibrate at all. I have my third set on their way right now.....

I noticed that the SSR's are 33.9" high, which is part of the reason i want them, and comparable brands in the same size are right at 33". That is almost an inch taller, but do they still measure that when mounted. I definently dont want anything smaller than 33".

i've been thinkin' about these also

load range 10 in 33 and 35 ...

seen a couple of sets around here on 1/2 tons, owners only complaints was wear ...

nothing specific just a generic "they don't last long"

anyone have a long term mileage report

Thanks Neil

I get about 25-30K per set. Kepp a good eye on the air pressure and rotate them regularly, you might do a little better. 37's are a pain to rotate....
