Strange sound after w/meth install

After installing w/meth I can hear a something that sounds like a bird chirping on steroids @ 25 psi boost and above. I'm sure its under the hood but it sounds like its coming from inside the dash. Would a boost leak make a chirping sound or would it sound more like a hiss?

Thanks in advance Mooseman

The pump for the water/meth running maybe? Or maybe a boost leak around where the water/meth is injected?

Itll chirp with or without the the meth on. How about a head gasket? Ive pressurized the system to 40 psi, sprayed everything with soapy water and nada.
It still runs good and strong so its no big deal, I would just like to know where it comes from.

That very possibly could be a headgasket. One NTC350 I drove had a headgasket blow and it did sound like that. When you looked at the gasket it was hard to find the leak. At first glance it looked like someone just put a line on it with a pencil. Check for bubbles in the radiator when running. You can also try putting a radiator pressure tester on the radiator but don't pump it up. Start the truck and watch the pressure guage. If it rises, well, you know what that means. Keep a real close eye on the color of the oil too.

Well, go back to the simplest, most basic troubleshooting technique as a start... "what was just changed"

You added water/meth injection....

Maybe you hear the sound of the airflow creating a whistle as it passes the water/meth injection nozzle. This would be loudest inside the air passageways and resonate into the filter box, thus you hear it under the dash...

Whadya think??

Maybe the meth injection nozzles aren't sealed well to the airhorn and you're hearing a small amount of boost squealing it's way out.
Since you also removed the airhorn to tap it might want to check the airhorn to manifold gasket.

I FOUND IT . I would have never thought an exhaust leak would have sounded like that. The back four bolts holding my ats exhaust manifold on were about half way out. After cranking them down everything went back to normal.

Thanks Mooseman
