first, what turbo comes on a 97 auto from the factory? 35 or 40? and hx or hy?

second, still have stock turbo and want to put a boost elbow on, where do yal reccomend me getting the elbow from? what site?

or if yal have found an easier way that is better to build yourself leave me a list of parts and ill try it out

Its an HX for sure. The HY's are only on the 01/02 auto's.
I think its the HX-35. Im not positive but I think the only dodge cummins with HX-40's were on 1st gens?

You can get a adjustable boost elbow from anywhere really. I got mine from a random company on ebay and its got me set perfect at 39 lbs at WOT.

Best 20 $ mod you can buy, that and a lock up switch. And all you do is disconnect your boost hose comming off the front of your compressor housing, unscrew your stock boost elbow, screw in the afjustible one and re connect the hose. Then start takin runs around town and playin with the screw.
