Howdy everyone,

Well I searched and read all on stacks. I just need some info and advise. I have decided with a single stack on the passenger side. I want it to go under the frame and come up in front of the tool box on my flat bed (look at my pics) and there is still plenty of room to open the rear door. It's gonna stick out a little bit from the way my headache rack is. It won't go any higher than the top of the headache rack. I am kinda afraid of ripping it off or hitting it on something.

Should I do....

4" right from turbo or use stock down pipe with 4" adapter?
Miter, turn out, straight?

Look at my truck and give advise.

I don't see a fueling box or injectors, so the stock downpipe will be plenty of flow. I think a turnout aimed straight back would look best.

 

I'd go 4" as soon as you can... there's lotsa room in there. I built my 4" HX40 downpipe, and it was a breeze...

I would either go with a curved top or a flat cut w/ a rain cap... probably want the curved so that it would kick the soundwaves towards pedestrians instead of the heavens experament w/ how you like the curved top facing... I would probably turn it facing right or 45* back/right.

if you're feelin' froggy, I've got a 36" tall 5" chrome turnout that's collecting dust that I could be talked out of.

single stacks sound awesome BTW... if I didn't have a cross bed tool box, I would have done a single stack, but I thought the truck would look funny on the driver's side w/ the toolbox slid back 7"

the coolest looking stacks you can get without having to fabricate them youself is at stylin concepts. they have kits where you can go 4 or 5" stacks and you can get the turbo back kits for 4 and 5". it includes 3-4" 3-5" and 4-5" downpipes

 

But they cost twice as much as you could put a set together for by ordering parts.

 

Well I think by the cost of kits I will just gather stuff up myself. So.................... what size is the stock downpipe? 3 1/2" then switch to 4". I will have to go look when it warms up to about 10, I am not sure what I have got since I'm straight piped.

use a 3"-4" adapter as close to the turbo as you can, and go 4" from there.

using a 4x6 box crossover is the easiest way to plumb the stuff in the bed. SO much easier to get everything square, and it's a cheaper option to boot.
