Your 95 auto has a 160hp pump.......it can support up to 500 hp without internal mods that would require it to be removed from motor...........

When I first started reading about making more power from a 12V all I saw was people saying that a 215 pump is the only way to go. I have since found that with the right items added to a 160 pump, all of which you can add yourself for less then $800.00 you can make an easy 450HP The only other things besides the parts you add to the pump to get 450HP will be Exhaust, Intake, Injectors and a turbo upgrade or a new turbo.

This is just my 2cents, But I have found that this can be done! and I think I'm there

4Kgsk?

What he said. That is what I did first after I did a 4" exhaust and gauges. GSK+DVs are the way to go and don't forget to bump the timing up to 16-17 degrees.

Yourself if you can. It's cheaper and you get more satisfaction out of it. I think anyway. Get some pics of your rig up.

they got a lot of good instructions and even videos at tst. i think if you got a good set of tools and a good magnet you can do the g.s.k. and d.v.'s yourself. look at the post where it says "a few things i learned when adding the 4-k gsk. and it will help. next you need injectors. you are running too much pressure on your pump and its not getting the right timing and stuff like that. you need good tranny upgrades to do any more than what you got now. i have taken the fuel plate out of a stock 96 cummins/auto and slipped the tranny with no other power uprades! the timing is real tricky on these cummins, i think they could have figured something out a little better than what they got for timing, its a good pump, but it has no advance-retard which i think it could use, and unless you buy one of those timing lights for a diesel, i wouldn't try to change it. i have heard of it being done and successfully, without a timing light or anything but if you don't get it right the first time, its hard to tell if its fast or slow, or how much to turn it back or anything else to get it to even run..... thats my .02 and soapbox for ya.

yes it comes in the snap on kit, but a barring tool is a nice addition to the timing kit. and you can set it with out the fancy tools, do a search there was a discussion about it in the last week.

I think I'm the last member to do the same bombing as you want to do, Its been just 3 or 4 weeks. Give me an idea what kind of money you have to spend and I'll tell you which direction I think you should take. I did my bombs in steps as money would allow. I bought all the tools and pump parts one at a time.

Get up with me. If you want to take a trip down here I'll teach you how to do it, that will save you on tools. I'm going to do Eskimo's on Jan 9th.
