Stacks
hey, I saw in the local classifieds here in Iowa, that a guy had a set of 32 r 36 inch long 6" turnouts for $250obo, just the stacks themselves no brackets or crosspipe though. I can get the # if anybody is interested.
im looking to put stacks on my flatbed. I was wondering if i could put they y pipe under the bed instead of on top of it. So to do this i obvisouly need the y pipe. Im wanting 5 in. so if yall know where to find one of these cheep let me know.

you really need to look on ebay. i found my stacks for 375 shipped. that is almost what it cost to make it. then on top of that i had the guy send me slip in mufflers and they make it quiet enough to get away from the police if im easy on the loud pedal, and loud when i want it to be. my wife doesnt think that they are all that loud with the mufflers in and she rides with me all the time. as far as noice in the cab, if i have the windows up and rear one shut i can only slightly hear it on take off and if i get on it other than that it sounds like my straight pipe used to inside the cab.
Go to http://www.grpipes.com/powerflow.asp The 5" kit is $175. Then buy the stacks on ebay for under $100. That's $275 total + s/h.
i got the whole kit off of ebay, y-pipe, adapter to go from 3-4" pipe, all of the clamps, chrome stacks, slip in mufflers, and flex pipe to go from your original pipe to the new y-pipe. it was really easy and all you had to do was measure cut the whole and bolt it together. had it done in two hours.
I got all my pipes from that berubes. Really nice people and easy to work with in getting what i wanted. On my flatbed i have everything underneath the truck with the stacks coming up between the cab and my headache rack. The only problem i had was having to put a bunch of turns to come around the fuel tank to keep it up higher for ground clearance. But it still blows the smoke pretty evenly so i am very pleased.
