Stacks or no stacks ...

I have seen a few trucks that look good with stacks and now I am trying to talk myself into some. Could those of you that have them (or used to have them) give some input ?? <br><br> I like the shorter ones that shoot straight up. I can deal with the noise ... I think.<br> Cost ?? I don't see any on eBay. I would like to find a decent set of used ones.<br><br>PISTOL

Re:Stacks or no stacks ...

You need to try some takeoff of big trucks @ big rig service centers and if they have a turn out don't worry and cut them off cause I did with mine

Re:Stacks or no stacks ...

Ordered the stacks and the splitter from www.berubes.com and the rest of the parts were just off the shelf NAPA exhaust parts.

Go to the Member Photos section above and go to page two. Look under dieseldude4x4's photos and hobbies to see more pics of the stacks. Some people think mine are too tall but I like them that way. They sound awsome too.

Re:Stacks or no stacks ...

I looked at the 5's but thought they look too big for this sized truck to me. Tried turning them out to the side but it was way too loud so faced them rearward. Depends on what you want, look, compare, decide, and then just do it.<br>(not affiliated with Nike or any sports products)<br>I was at Agri Supply with Stamey today and he fell in love with them. He said everyone in the parking lot looked as I went through the lot. Be ready for some stares, both good and bad.

Check with Fleet Pride, a national truck store. I got 5&quot;x60&quot; chrome turnouts for 89 ea.

Re:Stacks or no stacks ...

Get either one you want. You will love them. I went the turn out route because I was afraid the truck would be dirty after a long rain. ???<br>I now have to fix mine on a clamp so that I can turn them back away from crowds at ATPA pulls. :'(<br>They want to see they say. :'(

Re:Stacks or no stacks ...

Heres mine....(sorry bout the night shot only free camera time I had so far) I got everything from Berubes right down to the stainless clamps. Whatever you do, make sure before you put them on you give them a good coat of wax or other rust inhibitor. Where my splitter and 4 into 5 elbows were welded together are starting to show pinpoint rust that is a huge pain to get out. I absolutely love the sound, and the are up high enough that you can only hear them in the cab when I really get on it or when I open the back window, which I now do all the time even in 0 degree weather (I LOVE that sound).
