Spot for mounting gauges
Question 1: Has anyone attempted to mount gauges in the ~7" x 2 1/4" storage compartment located under the climate control on 6 speed equiped trucks? Looks like an ideal location for those of us who wish to preserve our grab handle on the A-pillar.

Question 2: Can the Isspro Turbo Temp monitor be used with other gauges, like the Autometers that resemble our gauge cluster in appearance.

Re:Spot for mounting gauges
I've got a 1.5" Autometer fuel pressure guage on order. My plan is to build a small mount out of aluminum and mount it in front of my shifter. It should be out of the way and I'll also have a place to more securely mount my high idle, fog light, and backup auxiliary light switches. I've never seen it done inside the lower cubby hole, but I'm sure it is possible. Good luck, andy
It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Re:Spot for mounting gauges
I was going to do this. By measurment I can easily fit three 2 1/16 gauges in there. Decided not to because I have to take my eyes too far off the road to read them. Experimented and discovered that if they are mounted flush with the panel the angle is bad for reading at a quick glance. To read them easily I would have to swivel each gauge around and up. Then they look bad.

I don't know how well that turbo monitor would really work

my truck runs about 600 deg on the highway, I pull in to a gas station and almost immediatly my egt is already down to less than 300 deg (might have something to do with the scotty II with the hole in -30 temps
)

soo the turbo monitor would already let my truck shut off by that point, but I'm sure that cast iron housing has not had any time to cool off yet ..........

I'd buy a time based unit IMO it would work better
